The Professional Development Programme focused on ICT in Outdoor & Adventure Inclusive Education.
Outdoor adventure education is characterized by a wide range of features such as outcome uncertainty, compelling tasks (e.g., involving relationship building), state of mind and completion of a journey, the search for excellence, and the expression of human dignity, all of which encompass action and intensity.
Furthermore, while elements of real or perceived risks are an essential ingredient, OAE has moved beyond the concept of personal survival to one of thriving and contributing to quality of life and providing extraordinary opportunities for collaboration, creativity and growth using an integrated approach, for people with or without disabilities sharing the rewards of experiencing nature and meeting challenges with a group of supportive peers with the use of ICT.
During the course, the participants will visit historical and natural monuments in Greece.
Who it is aimed at Teachers of all levels of educational and training organisations (pre-school, primary, secondary, vocational), school principals/managers, head teachers, inspectors, counselors, pedagogical advisors, teacher trainers, ICT teachers, learning designers, Museum Educators, Professionals in the Cultural Sector.
Participation cost 400 Euros in total for the five days of the training programme (for each participant) - 2 Content

7 hours 5. Outdoor & Adventure Inclusive Education: Case study 3; Engaging participants with nature through local outdoor gastronomy / Textiles /Pottery /Ceramics / Art Crafts etc
7 hours 6. Outdoor & Adventure Inclusive Education: Case study 4: Engaging participants with nature through other activities such as beekeeping, therapeutic riding, survival in nature, relationship with animals etc

P. Anastasiadis
The Scientific Manager of the training program is Mr. Anastasiadis Panagiotis,Professor of Lifelong and Distance Education at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete, Director of the EDIVEA org.
Panagiotis Anastasiades is currently Professor in E-learning & Lifelong Learning in the Department of Education at the University of Crete. He is also Director of the eLearning Lab.
Since 2004 he is a Tutor Counsellor at the Hellenic Open University. He has additional papers published in Journal of Computers and Education, Computers in the Social Studies Journal, ACM Special Interest Group on Computers and Society (ACM SIGCAS), Lecture Notes in Computer Science, etc.
Since February 2012 was vice-president of the Pedagogical Institute of Greece and has the scientific responsibility of the “National Teachers Training Project”
His current research emphasis focuses on Creativity, Lifelong and Distance Learning via Advanced Learning Internet Technologies and Interactive Videoconferencing, Social & Educational Informatics, ICT & Creativity, Artificial Intelligence. - 4 Trainers
