The aim of the Professional Development Programme is to train participants in Distance Learning techniques and methodology via Artificial Intelligence and eCultural Heritage while promoting Inclusion & Diversity through cultural activities in Crete in order to respond critically to the demands of our times. Artificial Intelligence and eCultural Heritage concerns the pedagogical use of Mobile Location-Based Games and Artificial Intelligence & Augmented Reality for teachers, as a means to cultivate the skills of Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking. The pedagogical utilization of the above promotes Inclusion & Diversity in that they cater for all types of learners: visual, auditory, kinesthetic etc. More specifically, the trainees will become familiar with interactive applications of Augmented Reality and Digital Storytelling (e.g. e books), combined with Land Art through experiential learning during field trips, in order to produce learning designs and scenarios in which the learners will be creative and engaged. During the course, the participants will visit historical and natural monuments of Greece on a regular basis to connect theory with practice.

Students & Teachers/Educators of all levels of educational and training organizations and Universities (pre-school, primary, secondary, tertiary, vocational, formal, non-formal education), school principals/managers, head teachers, inspectors, counselors, pedagogical advisors, teacher trainers, ICT teachers, learning designers, Museum Educators, Professionals in the Cultural Sector.

P. Anastasiadis
The Scientific Manager of the training program is Mr. Anastasiadis Panagiotis,Professor of Lifelong and Distance Education at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete, Director of the EDIVEA org.
Panagiotis Anastasiades is currently Professor in E-learning & Lifelong Learning in the Department of Education at the University of Crete. He is also Director of the eLearning Lab.
Since 2004 he is a Tutor Counsellor at the Hellenic Open University. He has additional papers published in Journal of Computers and Education, Computers in the Social Studies Journal, ACM Special Interest Group on Computers and Society (ACM SIGCAS), Lecture Notes in Computer Science, etc.
Since February 2012 was vice-president of the Pedagogical Institute of Greece and has the scientific responsibility of the “National Teachers Training Project”
His current research emphasis focuses on Creativity, Lifelong and Distance Learning via Advanced Learning Internet Technologies and Interactive Videoconferencing, Social & Educational Informatics, ICT & Creativity, Artificial Intelligence. - 4 Trainers
