Dimitris Kalopsikakis is Lab Teaching Staff in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Crete. He has studied Computer Science (Bachelor's degree 1997, MSc 2000) and Pure Mathematics (Bachelor's degree 2016, MSc 2020) at the University of Crete. In the past, he has worked as a Systems Software Developer in the private sector (Forthnet R&D, ISD S.A.), as a lecturer at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete (course: Distributed Systems), and as a research assistant at the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH (networks group). He has long-term experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration and software development in a variety of application fields (systems software, web development, databases, scientific software, etc.). His interests include the Mathematics of Computer Science, Machine Learning, and Software Development.
