Iasmi Stathi is a biologist with a PhD in Taxonomy, Ecology, and Phylogeography of Scorpions (Arachnids) and is responsible for the scorpion collection at the Natural History Museum of Crete at the University of Crete (NHMC-UoC). Since 2016, she has been a member of the teaching staff at the School of Science and Technology of the University of Crete. She is a member of the National Centre for the Certification of Continuing Education Structures (EKEPIS) as an adult educator. She has twenty-three years of experience in Environmental Education, Student Education, Lifelong Learning, and Educational Research and Development at the Department of Education of MFIK-PK, the Technical University of Crete, and the Hellenic Mediterranean University (formerly TEI of Crete). She has participated in more than 20 Research Education programs funded by either national or European resources.
